day one:
wednesday, june 3rd, marked the annual(? lolz) free root beer float day at Sonic restaurants. me, the coopermeister, and taitaibabey decided to get ourselves some free ice cream/beverage fusion hybrids!

day two:
thursday was filled w/ hilarity + come ups w/ the bros Justin + Carter. check out this sick vintage jean jacket Justin's trying on. i wish this brand wasn't defunct :0( (on opposite day).



the nxt move was to BJ's to cop some grub.





you can't make a visit to BJ's w/o copping a world-famous pizookie. unless you're a pessimist and/or atheist, of which i am neither.



if these past two days are any indication of what the rest of the summer's going to entail, then sign me up! twice!

Lakers + Nuggets have paved their way to the western conference finals. this creates a dilemma for the owner of this blog. you see, Carmelo Anthony has been my favorite player since 'Cuse. But, the Lakers have become my favorite team. it's tough seeing them go up against each other. who am i supposed to root for??? well, since i can't say idc who wins as a bailout.......

the best rapper alive returns!!!!!

i know what you're saying, the best rapper alive has been back, w/ kingdom come + american gangster. no bro namath, i'm talking about the "BEST" rapper alive. Eminem, Slim Shady, the Shady One, Marshall Mathers, Big Slim Dog, 80 pound........you get the gist. anywho, he finally returns after an all too long hiatus to release his new album Relapse.



coming from an Eminem fan, this album is gonna be dope. coming from a non-Eminem fan, this album is gonna be dope. cop it when it drops May 19th.

friend(ly's) or foe?

w/ the school year winding down, my friends + i decided to take what will likely be one of our last missions, but also a very memorable one. apparently there's an east coast chain of restaurant's called "Friendly's" that my east coast friends love to death. needless to say i had to try it. so the mission ensued.



first we took the metro.



then we hopped on the bus.



close to our destination, we started to hoof it.



after a long trek, we finally reached our destination.



the food better had been as good as they said it was.



as you can see by this empty buffalo wings appetizer plate, it was as good as they said it was.



honey bbq chicken supermelt? sinful.



you love to see this.



this trip to Friendly's will go down in history as our greatest mission yet. the long metro ride + bus ride that made me think we were lost for half of it was well worth it.

from his clothes to his flows Dom Kennedy is the best representation of the West Coast that we have right now amongst other up + coming artists. if you haven't heard his first mixtape The 25th Hour you should definitely go imeem that or sumn. it held me down summer of '08 + still does in my Howard dorm. his music is mad smooth + just puts you in a "driving down Crenshaw" state of mind. any time i get home sick i put on some Dom + it feels like i'm back in LA.



Dom Kennedy is currently about to drop his new mixtape FutureStreet/DrugSounds. It should be available for download by April 28th. i personally cannot wait. you shouldn't be able to either.
